Laura and Stu were our first ever competition winners! It was an incredible honour to be able to gift them their wedding photos and video for their amazing day at Styal Lodge!
Styal Lodge
Nestled in the heart of the peaceful National Trust village of Styal you will find this beautiful and bespoke family run wedding venue. Also the setting for Laura and Stu for their gorgeous, colour filled fun day with a hint of Rocky thrown in for good measure.
This contemporary, unique and exclusive venue stood out for Laura and Stu as it miles from the hotel weddings and has that incredible barn feel they were looking for. With space for ceremonies of up to 150 people, private gardens for drinks receptions and a dancefloor and bar until 1am, it really is the perfect place for a party!

Planning a Styal Lodge Wedding
Laura and Stu’s wedding had a lot of nods to the Rocky films, one of Stu’s favourites and this goes back to the stunning 5am sunrise proposal at the top of the famous “Rocky Steps” in Philadelphia. Taking inspiration from this came the table names and table plan and even Birdie The Camper Van sporting some pretty special number plates.
Once Stu had done his bit Laura found a new obsession with “Say yes to the dress” even down to heading to the Lancashire boutique for a sample sale where she found “the one” albeit currently on another bride to be who was deciding it wasn’t the dress for her and before she had even taken it off Laura had swooped in to claim it knowing it was the dress for her!
Colour played a massive part in Laura and Stu’s wedding from the bright pink of Birdie The Camper down to the balloons and Confetti. Taking the pink of the camper and styling the rest of the wedding with pastel tones to match.

Wedding Photography at Styal Lodge
Styal lodge has many places perfect for photos from the beautiful and private gardens down to being able to hop on a golf buggy and disappear for a little while to the secluded lake side. We absolutely made the most of all of these options while at Styal Lodge because, well it would be rude not to!
