A Winter Wedding at Styal Lodge – Adam & Katy
Adam and Katy’s wedding at Styal Lodge was everything we love about Cheshire weddings in winter. Beautiful, atmospheric, and overflowing with emotion. As Cheshire wedding photographers and Videographers, we’re lucky enough to work at this incredible Cheshire wedding venue often, and every time it feels special. Their day was no exception.
Calm, Cosy Morning Prep
Katy and her bridal party spent the morning at The Stanneylands Hotel, where the rooms were filled with soft winter light and that lovely pre-ceremony excitement. Laughter, a few happy tears, and a gentle festive touch set the tone perfectly. Katy looked stunning in her gown from Love Bridal.
Meanwhile, Adam and the boys enjoyed a relaxed start over at Styal Lodge. One of the things we adore about photographing weddings here is how peaceful the lodge feels, even in the moments before guests arrive. The wooden interiors, the open space, the quiet surroundings—it’s calm in all the best ways.
A Beautiful Ceremony at Styal Lodge
The lodge looked incredible dressed for a winter wedding, with warm tones, soft greenery, and beautiful seasonal flowers by Jill Naughton Flowers. Styal Lodge really comes into its own at this time of year, cosy yet airy, intimate yet full of natural light. It’s always a joy to capture weddings here, and it’s easily one of our favourite wedding photography locations.
After a heartfelt ceremony, we made a break outside for confetti and portraits. The weather gave us just enough of a gap to capture everything we needed group shots, candid moments, and some beautiful couple portraits around the lodge grounds. Even in winter, Styal Lodge’s surroundings photograph beautifully, giving us that signature Cheshire countryside feel.
Speeches, Soul & A Proper Styal Lodge Party
The reception led perfectly into warm, emotional speeches filled with stories, laughter, and a few misty eyes—just the way we like it.
Then it was time for the party.
And when Styal Lodge hosts a party, it really hosts a party.
DJ Andy B Events and Girl on Sax brought incredible energy to the evening, transforming the lodge into a full-on celebration space. The dance floor was packed from the start, lights bouncing off the wooden walls, guests singing, jumping, dancing, everything that makes a Styal Lodge wedding reception unforgettable.
Sparklers to Finish
To top off the night, we headed outside for sparkler photos which are a perfect winter ending full of glow, laughter, and that gorgeous golden sparkle that suits the season so well.
Adam and Katy’s day had everything we love: relaxed morning moments, emotional details, beautiful winter styling, and a party that genuinely lifted the roof. Styal Lodge was the perfect backdrop from beginning to end, and it was a joy to capture every part of it.
